Now I would always recommend first off the bat, please get a hitch-mounted bike rack, just because you get a little bit more stability that way and it's easier to use. But if by any chance you don't have a hitch or can't get a hitch onto your Prius V, since it usually doesn't come with one, your other options are to either get a roof-mounted bike rack or a trunk-mounted bike rack. As you can see, we have one bike loaded up already to show how bikes sit on the rack. We have two arms that are gonna support our bikes, and we have two cradles, one per arm. That's gonna give us two points of contact on our cross bar and one point of contact on our vertical bar here. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Corolla, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Fullback Two Bike Rack for trunk mounts, part number Y02634. We already have our bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look here and show off some of the features.Starting off at our ends here, on the one we have the Yakima bottle opener, which is pretty common among most of their bike racks. On the other end, however, we do have this integrated cable lock. How it works is, if you we're to have a bike on the outer cradles here, this would come out, wrap around the frame of that, and attach to this point here and lock into place to secure your bikes onto the bike rack.The cradles themselves are stationary, meaning they don't move back and forth or side-to-side, but they do have this TPE padding on the top, which is actually going to act as kind of a shock absorber for when you hit those bumps to help protect the frames of your bikes. The bottom part of the ZipStrip here is also padded to help that protect the frame of your bikes as well.How this actually attaches to the bike rack, we'll have two ZipStrips up at the top, as well as one off to the side here. more

Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. As is the case with most Yakima bike racks, we do have the bottle openers at both ends of our arms. The cradles are stationary, but have the SuperCush material so the frame of your bike won't be damaged once it's been installed. The anti-sway cradles fold up and out of the way, which makes loading and unloading much easier. At the front of our bike we have this wheel strap here to keep the front wheel from making contact with the trunk of the vehicle. If you we're to have two bikes on here there's a longer strap that would go around both of those, as well as the bike rack itself. more

The cradles themselves are in fixed positions; however, they do have cushioning on the inside here as well as on top with the zip strips, so once you install your bike, it's not going to get scratched up on the frame. It grips your bike at three points. We're going to have two zip strips up at the top, and then one off to the side here, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep your bike from moving too far back and forth and possibly from making bike-to-bike contact. Now, the anti-sway cradle can also fold up out of the way like we have it here, which is going to make it 10 times easier to load and unload. We also have this stabilization strap here around our front tire. more

Hollywood Racks Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2016 Toyota Camry- Video

Today on our 2016 Toyota Camry we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Express 3-Bike Rack, part number HRE3. This is a fixed mount bike rack and we have one bike installed already, so let's go ahead and take a look, and show off some of the features. The cradles themselves are adjustable to accommodate loading and unloading, and it's going to grip your bike at two points, these two straps up at the top. While it doesn't come with the bike rack, we do have this strap here to keep the tire from moving around because we found that it actually will make contact with the vehicle if you don't. You can find these straps on etrailer.com. However, if you have all three bikes attached, this also comes with this stabilization strap that'll wrap around all three bikes to serve the same purpose. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. With the bike rack in this position, I want to give you a real quick measurement, and that's going to be the distance added from the rear bumper to this edge here, and that's going to be about 22" from the rear of the vehicle. more

Hollywood Racks Expedition Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2016 Toyota Camry- Video

Today on our 2016 Toyota Camry we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Expedition 2-Bike Rack, part number HRF6-2. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike actually attaches to the rack, we're going to have three points of contact. We're going to have two straps up at the top here and one off to the side which is going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to make sure the bike doesn't sway too far back and forth, and make bike-to-bike contact. The cradles are adjustable and also have these reflectors on the end here as well for night driving. While this doesn't come with the actual bike rack itself, we do have a wheel strap here, just to keep this in tact, to prevent contact of the front wheel to the bike, however, if you we're to have both bikes attached to it, it does come with this stabilization strap which would serve as that for both bikes. They are separated enough so you're not going to have any issues of bike to bike contact once they're being installed. We also have these points here where you can see that the cable is actually going to sit in between those instead of being crushed against the frame once you install the bike. Thule Archway Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2016 Toyota Camry- Video

Today on our 2016 Toyota Camry we're going to be test fitting the Thule Archway XT 2 Bike Rack, part number TH9009XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first feature I like to show off is it has an integrated cable lock to secure your bikes to the rack. It'll wrap around your bikes, attach to this point, and then lock down and secure them that way. The cradles themselves are adjustable along the arms here to accommodate loading and they have this cushion material with this shock absorbent material, and it's cushioned so when you install your bikes the frame of the bike is not going to get scratched up. It holds your bike at three points. We're going to have two straps up at the top and one off to the side which is going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, and causing bike to bike contact. more

Today, on our 2016 Toyota Camry, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Raceway PRO 2-Bike Rack, part number TH9001PRO. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first feature I'd like to show off is the fact that it has an integrated cable lock here, at the front. You'll pull out the cable like so, wrap it around your bike, insert it into this portion, here, and lock it into place to secure both bikes to the bike rack. The cradles themselves, while they are in fixed points, they do have this nice cushion material, so once you put your bike into place it's not going to get scratched up. It'll attach to your bike by three points, we're going to have two straps up at the top and one off to the side, which is going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep your bike from moving too far back and forth, and preventing bike-to-bike contact. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. We'll just lift it up and off. more

Thule Passage Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2016 Toyota Camry- Video

Today on our 2016 Toyota Camry we're going to be test fitting the Thule Passage 2-Bike Rack, part number TH910XT. We already have a bike installed on our rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The cradles themselves are adjustable along the arms, and this is to accommodate loading and also to keep the space between the bikes a little bit further apart. We also have these sections here, which if you look at the bike we have installed, that'll actually allow your cables to sit in there and not get crushed by your frame once they're installed. It grips your bike by three points. We're going to have two straps up at the top and one off to the side, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep your bike from moving too far back and forth, and possibly making contact with the bike in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off, and set it aside. We'll undo the straps at the top first and then lift our bike up and off. With the bike rack in this position, I want to give you a quick measurement. more
